The Atlanta Celtic Festival celebrates Georgia’s Celtic heritage and culture on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Conducted annually by the non-profit Atlanta Celtic Festival, Inc., the festival features traditional and contemporary live music from twelve performing groups on the main stage. Sat, May 13, 2006 west of Lawrenceville Road between Hill Street and Main Street. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students (ages 5-12), and children under 5 are free. Parking adjacent to the festival grounds is free. All proceeds support Celtic cultural tradition in the Atlanta Metro area. First time appearance to rave reviews: McClure Bridge, a new Celtic Rock - Christian group Also featured are local performers including Highland and Irish dancers; pipers and harpers; language workshops; blacksmithing, military and cooking demonstrations; Celtic crafts; and a display of Celtic antiquities from the Celtic Collection, the largest collection of Celtic antiquities in North America.
