Celtic Heritage Week 2005

Dear Friends and Fellow Celts,

It is with great pleasure that I bring you wonderful news. Governor Sonny Perdue has agreed to sign a proclamation declaring the week of May 15th through the 21st as Celtic Heritage Week.
This proclamation will enable the citizens of the State of Georgia to honor the culture and heritage that has so enriched this state throughout its history. This week will be a time to share the culture and heritage through music and education. Celtic Heritage Week will reach its finale with the Atlanta Celtic Festival on May 21st.
I come to you now, the community, in hopes that you will pledge your support in order that we may sustain this proclamation throughout the years. For this proclamation to be ongoing, we must bring the Celtic culture heritage to the public. This can be done through involvement in the schools, churches and public gathering places.
If you are a musician, storyteller, or artisan who would be interested in volunteering your time in a school or for a social or church group or if you are a member of a society that would like to do a lecture or demonstration, please contact Ralph Anderson via e-mail or 404-392-0414.
