Loafing Leprechaun, Alpharetta
Located at The Terraces at Windward, about .5 mile east of GA 400 on Windward Parkway, the latest Loafing Leprechaun Pub has a touch of both the familiar and the new. Come on in.
For those who enjoy the fresh in pub ground hamburgers of the original Loafing Leprechaun capped off with a Guinness or your favorite brew, the new location invites you in. The menu and bar are the same. But the new location's layout is different, a simpler more open design. A U-shaped bar at the rear anchors the main bar.
The bar room sports high ceilings anchored with massive wooden beams. Spirits are standard fare with a decent selection of on-tap. The atmosphere is warm and for once the walls are not plastered with memorabilia.
An adjoining room at the right front of the pub supports table dining and a stage for live music. It will be interesting to feel the acoustics and determine if the vaulted ceilings will help or hurt the music enjoyment. The ceilings at the front of the pub are so high that a 2nd floor could have been built.
An open pergola covered patio is on the left of the pub. Definitely not an inclement weather spot and iffy on our super hot and cold Atlanta days, but it has a nice feel that can enhance a quiet cool evening. |
